Chairmen

We're looking for people with successful track records of single or plural chairmanships, and who understand the intricacies of the role — from inception through to successful exit with a track record of creating shareholder value. Increasingly this will include available and successful chief executives who are ready to go plural and have the time to take on a hands-on executive chairman role.

Non-executive directors

We're interested in experienced, commercially minded and well-connected non-executive directors. Those candidates most in demand will naturally have a strong appreciation of the crucial differences between management, direction and ownership. Most importantly though, they will be well-connected with hands-on commercial and mentoring skills, deep and current sector knowledge, and the ability to provide value-adding strategic guidance. Their commercial abilities make them ideally suited to family-controlled businesses and private companies with external investors.

Chief financial officers & finance directors

A challenging economic climate demands exceptional skills from those responsible for finance. Our team have placed well over 100 CFOs and FDs into dynamic situations in multiple sectors. Our expertise in this area is well-documented and we have been quote on the subject of ‘Outstanding FDs’ in numerous journals over the years. The role of finance director in a private equity deal is highly specialised and we know what is needed better than anyone. Our expertise means we have also placed finance directors into fast moving and high profile quoted businesses.

Chief executive officers

Our CEO candidates have proven leadership skills and in-depth sector-specific knowledge. Ideally, they have experience of private-equity-backed contexts as well as corporate life, or they may be highly successful entrepreneurs with a proven track record of start-ups. Either way, their personal success means they are able to invest alongside private equity and they bring with them valuable insights and sector knowledge. We are particularly well placed to help successful chief executives interested in the move to the role of chairman.
